NUMBER 10-PANEER(INR 2.8/gram)
Paneer which is made from milk contains casein protein in high amount and it also contains high amount of calcium .Casein protein keeps our stomach full for longer period by this, body gets protein for longer period. If we calculate, we get to know that 200gm costs Rs 70 which contains 28gm protein. So 1gm protein costs Rs 2.8. 100gm protein contains 14gm protein which gives 280 calories and it contains high amount of fats.
NUMBER 9-WHEY PROTEIN(INR 2.5/gram)
Whey protein is a wonderful It is not only helpful for bodybuilders but also very beneficial for others .About this, information is given in another video. Link will be provided at the end of the article. Whey is made from milk so if somebody faces lactose intolerance, still they can consume because lactose percentage is very less. Whey is very easy in digesting so people after exercising because it helps in muscle building. after exercising muscles breakdown in order to make muscles grow, our body searches for protein by which muscle becomes more stronger. Whey protein can be expensive according to their brand. If we consume one scoop of whey protein which is 30gm will cost Rs 50 to Rs 150 from which we can see that one gm of protein is Rs 2 to Rs 5. Every one gram of protein in fish is INR 1.7 which is very much affordable. 1 kg fish costs Rs 300 by which 100g fish contains 17g of protein and it will cost Rs 30. Hence, 1g will cost Rs 1.7. One thing must always be kept in mind that fish must not be fried because it will increase unnecessary calories because 2 spoons of oil contains 30g fats which will give 270 extra calories.
NUMBER 7: Chicken Breast (INR 1.4/gram)
For good amount of protein intake from chicken one must buy their breast part because it contains higher amount of protein. One kg chicken is equal to Rs 240 and if we buy boneless chicken Rs 350 . So 1gm will cost Rs 35 which will give 25gm protein. Therefore 1g protein will be Rs 1.4. Chicken breast contains more protein low fats less calories and no carbohydrates which is very beneficial.
NUMBER 6: Milk (INR 1.2/gram)
Milk is a very good option because it contains both whey protein and casein protein. Whey is fast digesting protein whereas casein is slow digesting protein. 500ml of milk costs Rs 20 which gives 17g of protein. So 1g protein is equal to Rs 1.2.
NUMBER 5: Eggs (INR 0.83/gram)
Egg is a very good source of protein. It contains amino acids which is not produced
by our body but essential for us at the same time. Researches compare eggs with other sources
of protein because eggs biological value is high as compared to others. Biological value is used to measure the proportion of absorbed protein from which becomes incorporated into the protein of the organism’s body. One egg is Rs 5 and one egg contains 6 gm protein. So 1 gm protein is equal to 80 paisa. Whereas, if we eat only egg white then we get more protein and less calories.
NUMBER 4: Chana Sattu (INR 0.60/gram)
Chana sattu is a good source of protein and is very easy to make. We just need to put
sattu in a glass including salt and water by which it becomes a health drink. For better taste one can put squeezed lime to make it much tastier. We can also include sattu in roti. Not only sattu contains protein but it also includes potassium and iron which is very beneficial for our body. 100gm sattu costs Rs 15 and contains 23g of protein.
NUMBER 3: Lentils (INR .60/gram)
There are various kinds of lentils like kidney beans, chickpeas, split pigeon peas ,black eyed peas, etc. All lentils are not only high in protein but also they are high in fiber and potassium.
1kg dal is equal to Rs 60 to Rs 100 so 100g will cost Rs 6 to Rs 10 and gives 18-20gm of protein. So 1gm protein will cost 60 paise to 90 paise. One thing must be kept in mind that some are more in amino acids and some are less in amino acids but if 2 or more lentils are mixed with each other then we can overcome from this problem. This gives us complete vegetarian protein.
NUMBER 2: Peanuts(INR .55/gram)
If we talk about peanuts then we get to know that 100gm peanuts costs Rs 15 and gives 26gm protein. So 1gm protein costs 55 paise. One must keep in mind that peanuts are high in calories and high in fats but are low in carbohydrates. Peanuts helps in gaining weight but if we want to loose weight then we should be careful before eating because they are high in calories.
NUMBER 1: Soya Chunks (INR .23/gram)
soya is the most cheapest source of protein. Supplement industry and many people blamed soya because they wants to earn more profit. Soya is a debatable topic but they are not harmful. If we consume soya under 50gm then they are not harmful. 1kg soya costs Rs 120 so 100gm soya costs Rs 12 which contains 52gm of protein therefore, 1gm protein costs 23 paisa only.
